The double strand makes a more effective enforcer without the blood and extreme pain you said you disliked. The foot length allows to to reach any part on my body as you sit, stand or use it while you are lying down. I could cut it shorter or make a longer one depending on what you prefer. I could make a single strand or a cat of nine all with soft supple leather that stings like hell but does not cut to blood. Hope I've given you the picture you asked for. Of course you may have a preference of your own.
